How to Find Blog Topics With AI and Automatically Write the Articles
One of the biggest problems bloggers run into is not always writing the article. Sometimes the hardest part is simply figuring out what to write about next.
You may start a website with dozens of ideas, but after you have published for a while, that list can start getting shorter. Then every new article begins with the same question: “What topic should I cover today?”
In this tutorial, I show you how I solve that problem inside WordPress by using AI to help discover blog topics and then turning one of those ideas into an automated article campaign.
Instead of using one tool for topic research, another tool for AI writing, and WordPress for publishing, I can keep much more of the workflow together inside My Content Creator Pro Elite.
In my actual demonstration, I start with a broad keyword — dog health — use the built-in Keyword Research feature to discover related topic ideas, choose Dog vaccination schedule, and then configure the system to create full WordPress articles around that topic.
I am the Owner & Developer of My Content Creator Pro Elite, and this is exactly the kind of workflow I wanted for my own websites: find the idea, turn it into content, and remove as much repetitive work as possible.

Why Finding Blog Topics Is Often Harder Than Writing Them
When people think about blogging, they usually focus on the writing.
But before you can write an article, you need an idea.
And not just any idea.
You want topics that are related to your niche, useful to your audience and capable of becoming meaningful articles on your website.
This becomes more difficult as your site grows.
If you have only five articles, there may be hundreds of obvious topics left to cover.
If you already have 200 articles, finding the next useful subject can require more research.
That is where AI-assisted topic discovery becomes valuable.
Instead of sitting in front of a blank WordPress title box trying to invent something, you can start with a broad subject and let the system help expand it into specific ideas.
Step 1: Start With a Broad Topic
In the video, I begin inside the ChatGPT Autoblogging Setup area.
The first field is where I can enter the topic for the blog title.
But directly underneath that field is the feature I use to find ideas: Keyword Research.
For the demonstration, I start with the broad phrase:
dog health
This is a good example because “dog health” is much too broad to be one focused article, but it is an excellent starting point for discovering more specific topics.
The same principle works in almost any niche.
You could start with:
- WordPress SEO
- Email marketing
- Home gardening
- Real estate investing
- Dog training
- Weight training
- Travel planning
- Online business
The broad phrase gives the system a direction. The keyword-research step then helps break that subject into more specific content opportunities.
Step 2: Use AI Keyword Research to Find Blog Topic Ideas
After entering dog health, I run the Keyword Research tool.
The system returns a list of related topic ideas.
In the video, some of the suggestions include:
- Dog health tips
- Dog nutrition
- Healthy dog food
- Dog wellness
- Common dog illnesses
- Dog vaccination schedule
- Dog dental care
- Dog weight management
- Dog exercise needs
This is where AI becomes useful before the writing process even begins.
I now have several directions I could take instead of trying to brainstorm everything myself.
One broad keyword has turned into multiple article possibilities.
And each of those ideas could potentially lead to additional subtopics later.
Step 3: Choose One Topic and Turn It Into a Campaign
For this demonstration, I select:
Dog vaccination schedule
Once I choose that topic, it is placed directly into the autoblogging setup.
This is important because the research does not end with a list sitting somewhere else.
The idea can immediately become the subject of the content campaign.
That creates a much faster workflow:
Broad keyword → AI topic research → choose idea → create article campaign
That is much more useful to me than generating a list of topics that I still have to copy somewhere and figure out what to do with later.
Step 4: Set the Article to Publish in WordPress
In the campaign shown in the video, I set the WordPress post status to Publish.
This means the workflow can go beyond simply creating article text.
Once the article is produced according to the campaign settings, it can become an actual published WordPress post rather than just an idea or draft sitting in another application.
If you want to see that part of the process in more detail, I created a separate tutorial on how to automatically publish blog posts in WordPress with AI.
Step 5: Use ChatGPT as the AI Provider
For the article-generation portion of the workflow, I use ChatGPT as the AI provider.
The AI handles the writing, but it is only one piece of the system.
The topic, category, schedule, article length, writing style, tone, SEO settings, links and images all help shape the final result.
This is why I think there is an important difference between an AI writer and an AI content workflow.
An AI writer gives you text.
A content workflow helps take an idea through multiple stages until it becomes a finished piece of content on your website.
Step 6: Choose the Right WordPress Category
In the demonstration, I assign the new campaign to the Dog Health & Nutrition category.
This keeps the content organized and ensures the article is placed in the correct section of the website.
That may seem like a small detail when you have a handful of posts.
But as your website grows, categories become much more important.
If you are running separate campaigns for dog health, behavior, nutrition, agility training and other subjects, assigning each campaign to the right category keeps the site easier for both visitors and the site owner to navigate.
Step 7: Decide How Often New Articles Should Be Created
In the video, I configure this campaign to run once a week.
Then I choose Friday as the publishing day.
Now I am not simply asking AI to write one article.
I am building a recurring content campaign around the topic.
The workflow now looks more like this:
Dog vaccination schedule → Dog Health & Nutrition → Once a week → Friday
Once those instructions are saved, I do not have to remember every Friday that it is time to create another article.
If you want to see the scheduling part in more detail, read my guide on how to schedule AI blog posts in WordPress automatically.
Step 8: Create a 2,500-Word Article
For the campaign shown in the video, I set the article length to 2,500 words.
The right article length depends on the topic, but I often like longer content when a subject deserves a detailed explanation.
The important part is that I can choose the length as part of the campaign instead of manually telling AI what to do every time.
If one campaign needs shorter content, I can configure it differently.
If another topic deserves more depth, I can make those articles longer.
Step 9: Control the Writing Style and Tone
I also configure how I want the article to sound.
In the video, I choose a persuasive writing style and an educational tone.
This gives the AI more direction than simply telling it to “write an article.”
The style and tone should match the audience and purpose of the website.
An instructional WordPress article may need a different voice from a pet-health article. A sales-oriented post might need something different again.
These controls help make each campaign more intentional.
Step 10: Add SEO Optimization to the Workflow
Once I have the topic and content settings in place, I can also enable SEO-related features.
This allows search optimization to become part of the article-generation process instead of something I have to remember to do manually after every post is created.
That includes the option to generate SEO meta information.
SEO automation does not guarantee that an article will rank in Google. Nothing can guarantee that.
But it can help make sure important optimization steps are not being skipped simply because you are publishing more content.
If you are building articles specifically with search traffic in mind, you can also see my tutorial on how to write SEO-optimized autoblogging posts with ChatGPT in WordPress.
Step 11: Automatically Add FAQs and Conclusions
In the video, I enable both Generate FAQ and Generate Conclusion.
This helps give the finished article a more complete structure.
FAQs are particularly useful for covering related questions that may not require an entire section of their own.
A conclusion gives the article a clear ending and can reinforce the most important points for the reader.
The bigger benefit, again, is that I do not have to remember to manually build these sections every time the campaign creates content.
Step 12: Use Smart Automatic Internal Linking
I also turn on internal linking and select the Smart / Automatic option.
Internal links help connect new content with existing pages and posts on the website.
This can improve navigation for readers and help create stronger relationships between related topics.
Manual internal linking is manageable when you have 20 articles.
It becomes much more time-consuming when you have hundreds of posts.
Building internal linking into the automated workflow can save a significant amount of repetitive work as the site grows.
Step 13: Use Google Preferred Sources
The campaign also includes Google Preferred Sources.
In the video, you can see this enabled in the setup, and I later show the Preferred Sources element on the finished website.
This is another example of how the article can contain more than a basic block of AI-generated text.
The goal is to create a more complete content workflow inside WordPress rather than stopping after the first draft.
Step 14: Add Images to the AI Article
Visual content is another part of the setup.
In the video, I configure the campaign to include four images and use ChatGPT as the image-generation source.
I also demonstrate the option for including a YouTube video near the top of the page.
That means the finished article can include written content, images, links and additional media without requiring me to manually assemble every piece after the writing is complete.
If you want to see how published articles can later become visual social content, I also show how to create social media images from WordPress blog posts with AI.
From AI Topic Idea to a Real Published Article
One of the most important parts of the video is that I do not stop at showing the settings screen.
I also show the content on the actual dog-training website.
You can see the type of article the system creates, including full sections of written content, images and a structured layout.
I also show another dog-health article titled “Dog Vaccination Schedule: Essential Guide for Every Owner.”
This is the outcome I care about.
The topic is not just sitting in a keyword tool.
It becomes actual website content.
Why This Workflow Is Different From Just Asking ChatGPT for Ideas
You could open a standalone AI chatbot and ask it for 20 blog ideas.
That can absolutely be useful.
But you still have several steps left:
- Choose one idea
- Move it into your writing workflow
- Create the article
- Format it
- Add SEO information
- Add internal links
- Add images
- Move everything into WordPress
- Schedule or publish the article
What I am showing is how to connect more of those steps together.
The topic research feeds directly into the autoblogging campaign.
The campaign then controls how the article is created.
That is where the real time savings begin.
Turn One Broad Keyword Into an Entire Content Plan
Think back to the original keyword from the video:
dog health
That one broad phrase produced multiple topic directions.
Dog nutrition could become its own campaign.
Dog dental care could become another.
Dog weight management could have its own content series.
Dog exercise needs could turn into several related articles.
Common dog illnesses could become an entire topic cluster.
This means you can use AI research not just to find your next article, but potentially to map out weeks or months of future content.
Build Topical Clusters Instead of Random Blog Posts
This is where the strategy becomes even more valuable.
Instead of publishing random topics with no relationship to one another, you can build clusters around important subjects.
For example:
Dog Health could lead to:
- Vaccination schedules
- Nutrition
- Dental care
- Exercise
- Weight management
- Common illnesses
- Preventive care
Those articles can then connect through internal links and support a broader topic on the website.
This is much more intentional than simply asking AI to create random content every week.
Use the Finished Article for More Than SEO
Once the article has been created and published, it can become source material for even more content.
You can turn it into social media posts, social images, Pinterest content and infographics.
I show that broader strategy in my tutorial on how to repurpose old blog posts into social media content with AI.
You can also see how to turn a WordPress blog post into social media posts with AI.
So the complete workflow can become:
Broad keyword → AI topic research → choose article idea → AI writes article → SEO → internal links → images → WordPress publishing → social content
How This Fits Into My AI Autoblogging Workflow
This tutorial is part of the larger AI WordPress workflow I have been demonstrating.
If you are starting from the beginning, first see how to set up AI autoblogging in WordPress step by step.
Then look at how to automatically write blog posts in WordPress with AI.
You can then automate the publishing process and schedule your AI blog posts automatically.
This tutorial fills in another critical part of that workflow: finding the topics in the first place.
Should You Still Review the Topics AI Suggests?
Yes.
AI can speed up research, but you are still responsible for deciding what belongs on your website.
Not every suggested topic will necessarily fit your strategy.
You should ask:
- Is this topic relevant to my audience?
- Have I already covered it?
- Can I provide useful information?
- Does it fit one of my existing categories?
- Can it connect naturally with other articles?
- Is it important enough to become a recurring campaign?
The AI helps generate possibilities.
You decide which possibilities are worth pursuing.
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. In the workflow shown here, a topic selected from Keyword Research can be used directly in an autoblogging campaign, which can then generate the article according to the settings you choose.
Can I choose the WordPress category?
Yes. In this demonstration, I assign the Dog vaccination schedule campaign to the Dog Health & Nutrition category.
Can I choose how often AI writes new articles?
Yes. The campaign can be configured with a recurring interval. In the video, I choose once a week and select Friday.
Can the AI articles be 2,500 words long?
Yes. For this demonstration, I set the content length to 2,500 words.
Can AI-generated articles include SEO and internal links?
Yes. The workflow includes SEO optimization options, SEO meta generation and Smart / Automatic internal linking.
Can it create images too?
Yes. In the campaign shown in the video, I configure four images and use ChatGPT as the image-generation source.
Will AI topic research automatically guarantee Google rankings?
No. Topic discovery is only one part of SEO. Rankings also depend on content quality, search intent, competition, authority, site structure, technical SEO and many other factors.
Final Thoughts: Stop Wondering What to Write About Next
The real benefit of this workflow is not simply getting a list of keywords.
It is connecting topic discovery with content creation.
I can start with something as broad as dog health.
AI can help me discover more specific ideas.
I can choose Dog vaccination schedule.
Then I can tell the system how I want that content created:
- Publish it in WordPress
- Use ChatGPT
- Place it in Dog Health & Nutrition
- Run the campaign once a week
- Publish on Friday
- Create approximately 2,500 words
- Use a persuasive style
- Use an educational tone
- Generate SEO elements
- Add FAQs and a conclusion
- Add Smart internal links
- Use Google Preferred Sources
- Create multiple AI images
That turns a simple topic idea into a repeatable WordPress content workflow.
Instead of spending your time wondering what to write about, you can spend more time deciding which ideas are actually worth building into your website.
